Types of Pools We Install

  • Concrete (gunite) pools: fully custom shapes, depths, and finishes, built on site.

  • Fiberglass pools: a factory-made shell with a smooth, low-maintenance finish.

  • Plunge pools: compact pools sized for smaller Charlotte lots, built for cooling off and relaxing rather than laps.

  • Spas and hot tubs: built in alongside a pool or as a standalone feature.

What Goes Around the Pool

A pool is more than the water. We plan the whole space so it works as one backyard.

  • Decking and patios: concrete, pavers, or natural stone around the pool edge.

  • Safety barrier: fencing and gates that meet the NC Residential Code.

  • Lighting: in-pool and landscape lighting for evening use.

  • Water features: waterfalls, spillovers, and slides.

  • Outdoor living: covered seating, outdoor kitchens, and fire features nearby.

The Pool Installation Process

  1. Site visit. We look at your yard's size, slope, access for equipment, drainage, trees, and utility lines.

  2. Layout and selections. Pool type, size, shape, finishes, decking, and equipment are chosen and laid out on your lot.

  3. Permits. Inside Charlotte, pools need City review for zoning, stormwater, and trees, plus a Mecklenburg County permit. We handle both.

  4. Excavation and structure. The pool is dug, formed or set, and plumbed.

  5. Equipment and electrical. Pump, filter, and any heater are installed, with the bonding and GFCI protection the code requires.

  6. Decking, fencing, and finish. The deck, safety barrier, and interior finish go in.

  7. Final inspection and startup. The barrier is inspected before final approval, then we fill, start up, and walk you through operation.

Charlotte Pool Rules

  • Permits: inside Charlotte, a pool needs City lot review (zoning, stormwater, and trees) and a Mecklenburg County building permit.

  • Safety barrier: the NC Residential Code requires a barrier at least 48 inches high around pools deeper than 24 inches, with self-closing, self-latching gates.

  • Placement: setbacks, easements, and the location of utility lines decide where a pool can go.

  • Stormwater: the City reviews drainage for every pool, and a pool deck adds to your lot's hard surface.

  • HOAs: many neighborhoods require architectural approval for pools and fencing.

  • Outside Charlotte: each town applies its own zoning rules. We confirm them for your address up front.

Investment

The cost of a pool depends on:

  • Pool type (concrete, fiberglass, or plunge) and size

  • Site access, excavation, and slope

  • Decking material and square footage

  • Fencing, lighting, and water features

  • Equipment choices, like heating

  • Electrical runs from the house
